The Day Off Recovery Formula

So what do you do when you don't know where the couch ends and you begin on your day off? You don't have the energy to "live every week like it's Shark Week." Instead, you feel more like shark farts. I tell you what you do: you throw on your "elf shoes" and an outfit.
 No, I didn't do any adjusting to this photo above. It's just the humidity of Tennessee fogging up the camera lens.
Then you to go to your favorite restaurant with your lil' sis. Our favorite is J'Alexander's:  our family's staple restaurant.
{I had my Kindergarten b-day party there.}

So, then you go back home; you're jacked up on iced-tea's caffeine, the energy from the salmon and orzo rice. You're also fueled by the laughs from sisterly exchanges of 30 Rock quotes. You walk in the door, to find a lovely arrival: Simone de Beauvoir's La Femme Rompue! It's that French book to maintain your language skills. If you don't use it, you lose it. However, "the lovely arrival" will be added to the 6 other books you are in the process of reading:
Next, you find another present that the mailman delivered: THE MANNEQUIN FOR YOUR ETSY STORE!!! Bloggers, meet my new friend, Roberta:

Although, she has no arms, she still can give hugs...or receive them...

 ...and she tells the best jokes...

(She has already scared my sister
and moi not once, but twice today.)

To conclude, add to this list an early morning Mat Pilates class and Luna bars and you've seen the completion of my day off recovery formula.

P.S.: Here are the shoes that have been christened "the elf shoes" :

And the outfit details:

 1)Elf shoes: Anthropologie 3 years ago
 2)Dress: American Apparel
 3)Jacket: Anthropologie
 4)headband: me!
 5)belt: vintage, my mom's!

Til next time,
