Eddie Borgo, Sharks and Beetle Juice Part Deux

Eddie Borgo! Again? Yes, folks. It seems that I am obsessed with his jewelry. Last March, I posted (click here) some of my favorites from his Spring/Summer collection, which he said was inspired from the movie Beetle Juice! That won me over immediately, as it was a childhood favorite. Well alas, his fall/winter collection is now on his website, and the pieces seem even more directly inspired by Beetle Juice and sharks. What do you think?

Beetle Juice:

And Sharks:

Now, I want the Bear Trap Bangles to go with the Bear Trap Ring.
And here's a pic of Eddie Borgo above. Visit his website to see more of the new and past collections.

P.S.--the photos were found on weheartit.com, but they weren't credited. If you know any of the sources, let me know.

Paris in the Springtime

Anna had never been to Paris before, and we only had one day to do everything. Therefore, I was "obliged" to give her un grand tour de Paris, if you will. Although I had been to these touristic spots before, nothing was the same. There was something brilliant to find in every corner. Paris never lets you down.
Among my favorite was this French couple in Montmartre, getting their portrait done for their 60th (ish) anniversary. It was ADORABLE. I couldn't have been happier at that moment, watching them.

Then we walked a little further and caught this beautiful Opera singer. Although snobby to admit, I haven't been impressed by many of the street preformers before in Paris, because I am spoiled living in Nashville. Yet this girl brought tears to my eyes.
And her friend had the most kick-ass shoes! She designed them herself on Nike's website (yes, I had to ask). They say right and left. Added to my Wishlisht!

In Montmartre, we climbed down the hill to find some grub and immediately came across Chicken Family. We bought a whole chicken (way too much) and some sides, walked to a neighborhood park and awkwardly chowed down like cavemen at a Southern Church picnic, while mothers watched their kids on the playground. Later, Anna found chicken skin in her new, fabulous ring from Esprit de Femme. DISGUSTING. My father responded to this news, "Yummy...chicken finger."

The picture below is from the park. Notice the building. It embodies the melange of old and new that Paris is all about.

My other favorite part of Paris was finally going to Laduree. It's a Parisian specialty where they have the best Macaroons. Mmmm, mmmm where they delicious, and gluten-free Anna was finally able to eat a delcious dessert from Paris!

Eddie Borgo, Sharks and Beetle Juice

This ring is added to my "Wislisht" by Eddie Borgo. It's called "Bear Trap" and it retails at $225.
I like it because it reminds me of a shark's mouth more than a bear trap. Photo found on Fashion Poetic.
I discovered Eddie Borgo by watching a video on The Urban Outfitter's blog where he discussed his  inspiration for his new collection. He was inspired by Tim Burton and Beetle Juice, therefore, I was automatically wooed. You see, I saw that movie an unmentionable amount of times as a child, as all children do with there favorite films. This scene got me every time.

Sarah "Harts" These

"I want you. I need you. Oh baby, oh baby."
Photo from the great blog Get Your Plane Right On Time.
Since my middle name is Hart, I feel entitled to own every cute item having to do with hearts (even though my name is missing an "e"--whatever, poetic license). So, if anyone knows where I can get these, please help a sista out and share!

It had me at "bonjour"

Have you smelt Yves St. Laurent's "Parisienne" yet? Sephora describes it as
"The essence of a woman who is incredibly free—she is not from Paris, but Paris adopts her.
She knows how to love, how to live."
Uh. HELLO. Could this be anymore perfect for me? I think not.

I want it. I might have to buy it tomorrow. I've been waiting for a month now.

Good thing it doesn't smell like the Paris metro.

Louis, Louis, oh no, Me gotta go, Aye-yi-yi-yi

To buy or not to buy? That is the question.

EMBARRASSING CONFESSION: For some reason or another, I have decided I want a Louis Vuitton purse. I've shocked many people by this...especially Eleanor Campbell :)

So, I wanna buy one in Paris as the perfect souvenir from France. This is the one I want...The Noé:
Problem #1- Expensive
Problem # 2- Will I feel like a total TOOL wearing this? Answer- Most likely

But, my Dad is encouraging me to buy it, and last night we were Skyping and looking on the Louis Vuitton website together when he stumbled upon these lunettes de soleil :

Then he said over and over, "Sarah, you HAVE to get these! I don't care if you have to come home by boat." And then...the classic Dad quote of all time,

"If Jesus made you a pair of sunglasses,
that's what they'd look like."

HAR HAR HAR HAR!
