Hue Nashville

Sarah Helen and I in June 2009 (above) and in 2006 (below)
When I first met Sarah Helen Parker back in 2005 (she was just a budding Nashvillian back then)...
... I asked her something like, "What do you wanna do when you grow up?" She admitted, somewhat embarrassingly, "I want to open a tanning bed salon." Flash to 2008, her dreams came true.
And my friends, this is no ordinary tanning salon. This is Hue Nashville. Tan. Swim.Walk. So, for those of you with glow-in-the-dark-white-skin who don't really tan or swim like me, you can WALK and buy cool shoes...or cool sunglasses. And because Sarah Helen and Hue are located in East Nashville, she is one and the same with the community; therefore, she wanted to "represent" (can I say that word?) by creating a Hue calendar, combining her swimwear, shoes and sunglasses with the people of Nashville. She chose a Highschool Yearbook theme. Photos were done by Red Met Yellow Creative. Here are a few from the calendar that I love.
Chess club above!

"I WILL MAINTAIN MY TAN"
So adorable. If you happen to find yourself in Nashville and want a tan, unique bathing suit, shoes or sunglasses go to this address:

  1. Oh wow! Oh wow! Oh wow! I am 100% against tanning beds but I'm actually in love with the idea of this store!
