The Candy Man Can--Will Cotton's Delicious Artwork

This is my second post on Will Cotton's scrumptious paintings, but they are so tasty, I had to post some again. When I was a little one, sugar was my drug, like it is for all children, and I used to imagine that I could escape into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory or into Milton Bradley's Candy Land. I am not exaggerating...I would mentally picture it. Well, Will Cotton seemed to want the same thing and decided to paint about it. He also adds more of an adult flare to it, including beautiful, nude women; but he seems to draw inspiration from sweets, Candy Land, Willy Wonka, Vogue, Fashion and Hansel and Gretel {So many of my favorite things!!} If only I could dive into one of his paintings. I have a cavity and a sugar headache even thinking about it. Yet, perhaps even more surprising are the fact that these are oil paintings! When I first saw them months ago, I believed them to be photographs.
